Andropause and menopause herald a time when pituitary derived growth hormone hasconsistently declined over preceding decades. Lack of vigour, midline fat deposition and obvious signs of aging are all indicative of growth hormone deficiency outcomes. Measuring IGF1 does not provide a full picture of growth hormone production. Only this test will do so. It also allows practitioners to track patients who are supplementing with growth hormone.
